Had a fantastic shoot with Greg Inda yesterday at his studio. We shot Ozmandia (my space girl) and my slightly porny nurse look. Greg’s girlfriend Shauna was my official wig fluffer – I wear a big crazy pink anime wig for both looks. I love wigs – you don’t have to spend oodles of time making your hair look just so. This wig also covers a good deal of my forehead and neck, so no crunched up forehead wrinkles will make an appearance in my shots. Everybody has their own little list of things they shouldn’t do in photo shoots and making crinkly faces is one of mine. Also, the “yurt” face, which always makes an appearance, no matter how much I concentrate on not doing it. (The yurt face is a face that looks like you are saying the word “yurt” – usually occurs when I am talking to someone out of frame or changing positions).
Tomorrow night I am off to perform on the bartop at Blue Bayou as a space girl. Vaudezilla has brought in Kitchy Coo of San Francisco as their special guest for the evening. It’s a free show with cheap drinks – easy on the wallet and the eyes.
